As the production designer and props designer for this commercial, my mission was to create spaces that reflect the commercial goal of invoking emotional responses that are stemmed in Disney's quest in storytelling and make tangible/physical objects that allow interaction that exchange from human to space.
PROP DESIGN
Buzz Cardbaord Costume
To highlight one prop design I fulfilled in the role, I designed and constructed the Buzz Cardboard costume.
Although it is meant to resemble Buzz, it was imperative to stay within the world of this commercial that the costume was made by a child, so the quality and details should also review that world.
A lot of the times, as a designer and creator I am to create a piece that is at its highest quality with flawless components, but what is equally crucial is to understand the philosophy and purpose of this 'thing' I'm making and the creation itself being the living proof of the whole.
